Double Entendres: A Play on Loops
Saturday 8/24/2019 From: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
This workshop geeks out on double loop theory, using double slings, looped straps, and double spanset loops as our tools. We will explore familiar pathways leading to new wraps and tackle layered drops that use the entire length of the loop.
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Prerequisites: Six months aerial fabric experience required. Ability to do bent-arm inversion from the ground suggested.
Butt Stuff with Jessica John

This workshop takes aim at the peach. We will focus on the strength, stability, and mobility for splits and back-bending like a boss. This workshop is an active flexibility workshop. You will come away with a program that you can implement and continue to progress at home.
All skill levels. No prerequisites.
Aerial Hacks with Jessica John

Jessica offers tips and techniques for mastering the flashiest tricks. Planches, roll-ups, crocs, and more will be explored on a variety of apparatuses. Here, ground-based skill progressions and conditioning will lay the groundwork for your dream skills!
Aerial Apparatus to be Used: Rope, Fabric, Sling, and Trapeze.
Prerequisites: Comfortable inverting and moving on vertical and horizontal apparatuses. A clean skin the cat and a straight-leg wheeldown are required.
Helter Skelter: Loud & Dirty Inversions with Jessica John

This vertical apparatus workshop looks at the fluency that comes from changing the shape of our bodies or pathways of our limbs mid-inversion. We will explore loops with our legs, slack drags, direction shifts, frontal-plane initiation, and well-timed releases.
Aerial Apparatus to be Used: Aerial Rope & Fabric
Prerequisites: A straight-leg, bent-arm inversion from the air is required. A straight-arm inversion and a 3-second one-arm hang is suggested
Handstand Handiwork: Dance Trapeze with Jessica John
Sunday: 8/25/2019 From: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
In this workshop, we will explore our inner handbalancers by using the ropes as a steady, and not so steady, support system on the dance trapeze. Bring your chevs!
Skill Level: Intermediate+
Prerequisites: Bent-arm inversion in the ropes is required. Must be able to hold a handstand against a wall with strong body tension and straight arms for at least 10 seconds.
