Active Flex Session

WITH LARRIS ACKER

Are you looking to improve your flexibility? Then this immersive experience is for you!
In this workshop we will explore flexibility through various mechanisms. First, we will isolate and strengthen the muscles in our hips and back following a strong warm-up. We will then work on our front and middle splits as well as backbends through a range of active stretching and mobility exercises. The class will end with a focus on inverting and core stability. This is a 6 week session.

There are no prerequisites to attend this class. This class will take place on the floor.

Low Trap Session

WITH NINA VEGA-WESTHOFF

TUESDAYS, FEB 12TH - MARCH 19TH, 7:00 - 8:30PM

This 6-week session will explore dance trapeze with the bars hung at lower heights in order to expand our possibilities in this art form. Students will learn new skills and movement patterns, including spins, floor to air transitions, and rope work. Students will learn a sequence and gain confidence in dance trapeze improvisation.

PREREQUISITES FOR SERIES: Six months previous trapeze experience, ability to mount trapeze 2 different ways, do a 10 sec. tuck hold in ropes, and feel comfortable standing on the bar.

DAY PASS: $18

Hoop Technique Fundamentals

WITH BEN BERRY

SATURDAYS, MARCH 9TH - 30TH, 5:45 - 7:00PM

4 WEEK SESSION 

This all-levels series aims to leave participants with the tools they need to build a foundation of hoop technique. Concepts to be covered include: waist hoop finesse, passes, hand hooping transitions, weaves, isolation variations, contact rolls, tosses, chest hooping, breaks, escalators, and on/off-body transitions. Students will leave with a repertoire of drills to practice at home.

This class is perfect if you think you "can't hoop," if you are a beginner who needs direction, or if you are an experienced hooper who wants to reconnect with the basics and build control. Extra hoops will be available for practice.

Acro: Back to Basics

Tanner and Liz are excited to bring back the basics as we transition into Spring! This six week series will focus on rooting your practice in the foundational seeds of acroyoga to grow your practice to new heights. With the use of repetition, breath work, intuitive games and body awareness you will quickly gain the skills necessary to develop your practice.

Classes are designed for all levels, with progressions offered per student based on experience level. In this series you will build strength, develop proper form, gain confidence and learn communication skills necessary to succeed. We look forward to growing with you!

No partner required, nor any prior experience with Acro. Please wear clothes you feel comfortable moving in. We request that you are barefoot for this class, although grippy yoga socks are permissible.

PREREQUISITES FOR WORKSHOP: None!
